What we can discuss
Never before did you experienced so much physical changes as during your pregnancy. What is normal and what is not? And why are you feeling something at a particular moment? I would like to tell you more about that so you can understand how fantastic the woman’s body is at adjusting and what you can do to relieve any discomforts.
The magic of creating new life, that is even too small to see with the naked eye, will grow into your child. Consciousness and important senses already start developing in the belly and you can feel your baby moving. Without actively working on something, you, as a woman, are creating a masterpiece.
It matters where you come from: it influences how you grow up, which senses are installed in you and what opportunities you are presented with. What does your childbirth mindset mean to you? Try listing them and review them without judging. What stands out to you? And what would you like to change?
Each childbirth experience, both very positive ones as well as less positive ones, play an important role during the next pregnancy and birth. It could be useful to look into what you would like to relive and what you could do without, so you can leave any negative baggage behind before facing a new childbirth experience.
Pregnancy and childbirth can both be a very special but also a very anxious moment in your life. It is probably something you have never experienced before and, like all new experiences, nerves come into play. Does it feel as a healthy dose of nerves or more like a paralysing insecurity?
Not all pregnancies end with a newborn baby. Sometimes nature decides that a child is not fit to be born. This loss often has a major impact. It can feel very lonely to go through this period of mourning in silence, especially when your desire to have a child is very strong and your social circle does not know what is going on.
Being pregnant can sometimes feel like a challenge. Your body is not as ‘ready for action’ as it once was. Asking for help does not come naturally to some. However, it could be useful to already start practising during your pregnancy. Because once the baby is born, you might need a hand or two. Asking for help is therefore a gift that you can give yourself.
Perhaps you are the first in your social circle to be pregnant and feel like you need to figure everything out on your own. Perhaps everybody in your social circle already has children and you are overwhelmed with advice and items. You would not like to let anyone down, especially not yourself. What is important to you? And how do you make decisions?
